Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief at the death of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
He said that the entire life of Manmohan Singh was dedicated to the nation as he served in many positions. Dhami prayed for peace to the departed soul.
As a mark of respect to the late PM the national flag will be at half mast in the State. The national mourning of seven days will be observed in the State. The period of the mourning will be from December 26 to January 1, 2025. The State government has cancelled all the programmes related to celebrations and entertainment during the seven day mourning period.
Following the death of the former PM, the district administration of Dehradun cancelled the cultural programmes to be held during the Mussoorie Winterline carnival. The carnival commenced on December 26 and will end on December 30.
