Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that the students should use Artificial Intelligence (AI) intelligently. He said that while AI is useful and informative, its excessive use can have adverse effects. He was interacting with the students at ‘Mukhyamantri Yuwa Vidhyarthi Manthan’ programme at his residence on Monday.

Dhami asked students to first use their discretion, intellect and thinking abilities on any subject and then learn from the guidance and experience of their teachers before seeking AI’s assistance when necessary. He emphasized that technology should be a companion not a substitute for our ability to think and learn.

The CM said that students are the present and future of the country. He said students should move forward to realize their dreams. “Understanding the subjects is more important than scoring marks in examinations. Adopting values and discipline in life is sure to lead to success,’’ he said.

The CM said students need to change their approach to studying. They should view studies not as a burden but as a path to shaping their future.

He said that students should move forward as leaders in their lives. “A leader is someone who does the best work in their field. One’s work, compassion for society and dedication can immortalize one’s name,’’ he said.

The CM exhorted the youth to continuously strive towards their goals and move forward by learning from challenges. He said that we should make resolutions in our lives and that resolutions should be free from any options.

The programme was virtually attended by more than three lakh students of classes XI and XII from 2,828 government and private schools across the State.

During the interaction with the CM, the students gave various suggestions including promoting sports, necessity of sports periods four days a week, infrastructure in schools, better higher education, encouraging tourism activities in the State and giving priority to environmental protection along with development.

The CM took the students’ suggestions seriously and noted them and directed the officials to prepare an action plan accordingly. The Chief Minister said that the suggestions given by the students will also be included in the government’s policies.
