CM Dhami invites pilgrims to U’khand, assures convenience

Visits Kedarnath shrine, inspects reconstruction works
Expressing happiness on the order of Uttarakhand High Court (HC) in which it has removed the restrictions on the Char Dham Yatra, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the Uttarakhand government is fully prepared for a safe Yatra. He said that the Government wants the Yatra to go on in a smooth and safe manner. Dhami said that the Covid-19 protocol would be strictly adhered to during the Yatra. He said that since the Yatra was not fully operational for the last two years there are some issues which would be sorted out soon. On the possibility of the influx of tourists in large numbers triggering the probable third wave of the pandemic, the CM said that there is a compulsion of RT PCR negative test report or production of certificate of two doses of the vaccine for those visiting the state. He added that the state administration is ready for the probable third wave of the pandemic. Dhami said that the state has required numbers of ICU, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), oxygen beds and medicines.
He appealed that the people should come for the Yatra in the state and the state government would ensure that they do not face any problem during their stay in Uttarakhand.
Informing about his Kedarnath visit and reconstruction works going on at the shrine, the CM said that the work on Samadhi of Adi Guru Shankaracharya would get complete before October 30. He said works amounting to Rs 409 Crores are proposed for the Kedarnath shrine and out of them works of Rs 225 Crore have been completed.
He said that in the phase II works on Rs 114 Crore are underway in Kedarnath. Dhami said that works of Rs 245 Crore are underway in Badrinath. He said that reconstruction and beautification works of Rs 708 Crore are going on all the four Dhams.
