CM Dhami makes a bevy of announcements

In his address the CM said that Uttarakhand is progressing at a fast pace due to the special affinity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and help from the central government.
He made many announcements on the occasion. He said that the pension of statehood activists would be increased. The pension of those who are receiving Rs 3100 has been increased to Rs 4500 and those receiving Rs 5000 have been revised to Rs 6000 per month. He said that one hostel for women would be made in every district. In another announcement he said that a sum of Rs 2000 would be given to mothers staying in the hospitals for 48 hours for safe deliveries. He said that the take home ration (THR) would be provided to ‘ Ji Raiya Cheli- Jagi Raiya Noni’ to the girls between 11 to 18 years of age. Similarly sanitary napkin vending machines would be installed in every Anganwadi centre for the 11 to 18 year old girls. Dhami said that de-addiction centres would be set up in Dehradun and Haldwani and a State institute of Urban development would be set up. The CM said that the NHM workers would be provided with a one time incentive of Rs 10,000 for appreciable service during the Covid-19 period. He said that a ‘Foreign employment cell’ would be set up and Sports Policy -2021 would be soon implemented. The CM said that the state would be made a hub of Ayush and wellness and under it Ayush wellness centres would be opened in the bungalows of GMVN and KNVN.
The Director General (DG) police Ashok Kumar gave an account of the achievements of Uttarakhand police in his address.
The governor honoured 12 officers and personnel of the force with the President’s Police Medal and police medals.
The Governor and CM released a booklet ‘ Vikalp rahit Sankalp, Naye Irade, Yuva Sarkar, Uttarakhand Vikas ke Swarnim path par’ compiled by the department of information on the occasion.
