The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that like Lord Ram and Krishna, the Jain ascetics are helping integrate the society. He said this after meeting the Jainacharya Vishwaratan Sagar Surya Maharaj in Haridwar on Saturday.
During the course of the meeting the CM told the saint that recently a ‘Milan Samaroh’ was organised in which the followers of the Shwetambar and Digambar sects met and interacted with one another. Expressing happiness at the event the CM said that such programmes were held in integrating the society. The CM also sought blessings and directions from the Jain seer for development of the state. The CM also discussed the recent Kedarnath visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Sagar Surya told the CM that he was engrossed in 17 days of Maun Sadhna which is very tough. The CM was offered a guard of honour in the temple compound. The cabinet minister Yatishwaranand, state president of BJP Madan Kaushik and others were present on the occasion.
