CM Dhami unveils Nabh Netra station

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated ‘Nabh Netra’; a drone technique based mobile ground station for disaster related data at his camp office on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that Uttarakhand is a State vulnerable to disaster and Nabh Netra would be helpful in collecting data. He appreciated the equipment and handed over a certificate to the team of Drone Application and Research Centre (DARC).
The director of Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA) Amit Sinha said that the state faces the challenge of collecting data, processing it and keeping a vigil on disaster. He said that use of drone technique can be done on a large scale to meet the above mentioned challenges. It would also help in creating maps of the disaster affected areas before and after the disaster. The station has been mounted on a vehicle which has been equipped with the bandwidth aggregation and enabled with V- Sat for the areas without network. The station would be used for 3-D mapping of all the areas which are vulnerable to disaster and disaster management.
