Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has welcomed the decision of the speaker Ritu Khanduri for constituting an expert committee to investigate alleged irregularities in appointments in Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha. He said that he is confident that the committee would clear every issue related to the subject and added that the State government is committed to the creation of a corruption free Uttarakhand.
Dhami had written a letter to the speaker on September 1 requesting her to constitute a high level inquiry in the case of controversial appointments in Vidhan Sabha. In the letter the CM had said that since Vidhan Sabha is an autonomous constitutional body having great dignity it should be our priority to maintain its solemnity.
