CM digitally transfers Central assistance under IDS to industrial units

In latest Dehradun news, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has digitally transferred the Centre-approved amount of Rs 90 crore into the accounts of 40 beneficiary industrial units operating in the State under the Industrial Development Scheme. Notably, under the Central government’s Industrial Development Scheme 2017, subsidy is being provided by way of incentives to the industrial and service units operating in the Himalayan states- Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh-in the matter of purchasing manufacturing machineries and tools. While expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union industry and commerce minister Piyush Goyal on extending financial assistance to his State in the realm of industrial development, the CM said that it is going a long way in boosting and expanding industrial ventures. Speaking of the upcoming two-day Global Investors Summit starting on December 8 in Dehradun, the CM said that his government has so far garnered Rs 55, 000 crore by way of MoUs inked during his road shows in London, Birmingham, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Delhi and Mumbai. He further said that his government has been currently working on incorporating the suggestions given by international and domestic entrepreneurs in the final work plan of the ensuing summit. He added that the proposals meant to boost employment opportunities and strengthen the primary sectors would be given precedence.
