The State Horticulture department officials said that 57 kg honey has been extracted so far from the bee hives the chief minister’s official residence has, adding that the target had been set at about 200 kg. They further said that the CM had directed them to organise a honey festival where all products related to bees were to be showcased. The CM further told them to organise the honey festival annually according to a calendar to be drawn up.
Stressing that the State has unlimited possibility in apiculture, he had directed the officials to prepare organic honey and honey endowed with medicinal properties, the officials further said.
