CM directs officers to expedite construction of Pithoragarh medical college

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed the officers concerned to expedite the construction of the Pithoragarh medical college building. He chaired a review meeting of the officers of different departments in Pithoragarh on Friday. Public representatives in the meeting put up a proposal for construction of a short route from the Base hospital to Ulka temple on which the CM directed the officers concerned to prepare a DPR for the project within 15 days. The CM also reviewed the progress of multi-level car parking at Jakhni Tiraha.

 Dhami also sought information on the progress of the Dharchula-Tawaghat national highway and directed the officers of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and district administration to take up the project on priority and expedite the construction of the road.  He said the compensation amount should be disbursed to the affected people soon.

The CM further said that this year more than 30,000 tourists visited Adi Kailash and the number is expected to increase further. He said that the connecting roads to Adi Kailash should be strengthened. The CM also expressed his displeasure at the delay in completion of projects under the PMGSY. Dhami said that the officers should ensure that the benefit of welfare and development schemes of the Centre and the State government reaches to the last person standing on the social ladder.

The CM also visited the army ground where the recruitment of Territorial Army is underway. Union minister of State Ajay Tamta, position holder Ganesh Bhandari, MLAs Harish Dhami, Mayukh Mahar, Fakir Ram Tamta and others were also present on the occasion.
