CM directs secretaries to give vacant post details within a week

The Uttarakhand government has sought details of the vacant posts from all the departments within one week. Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a meeting with the officers of different departments on Saturday in which he directed that the process of recruitments in the State should be expedited. He ordered that all the secretaries would provide the information about vacant posts in their departments within a week.

The details would include information about total posts in the department, the number of employees deployed on these posts and the vacant posts in the department. The CM said that regular organisation of the employment fairs should be done by the employment and skill development department. The help of the industry associations should also be taken in these fairs so that maximum numbers of youth are able to get employment. On a stern note the CM warned the officers that the files should not remain pending unnecessarily at the level of State administration. Dhami said that he would ensure that this point is followed in the CM office also.

 He said that the requisitions for recruitment to the vacant posts should be examined and forwarded to the public service commission without any delay. The CM added that all necessary formalities should be completed in advance so that the recruitment process is not hindered.

Dhami curtly told the officers that the departments should bring more changes in their working and it is their responsibility. He said that the implementation of the schemes at the departmental level should be done expeditiously. The additional chief secretaries Radha Raturi, Anand Bardhan, principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, director general of police Ashok Kumar, principal chief conservator of forests Vinod Kumar Singhal, secretaries R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailash Bagauli, AK Hyanki, Sachin Kurve, BVRC Purushottam, Ravinath Raman, R Rajesh Kumar, Education DG Banshidhar Tiwari and other officers were present in the meeting.
