CM discusses ongoing works in Badrinath & Kedarnath

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met deputy secretary at Prime Minister’s office Mangesh Ghildiyal and officer on special duty, Kedarnath Badrinath redevelopment works, Bhaskar Khulbe at the CM residence here on Saturday. The duo met him after inspecting the works being undertaken at Badrinath and Kedarnath. They discussed reconstruction works in Kedarnath and the execution of the master plan in Badrinath with the chief minister. Ghildiyal informed the chief minister that the inclement weather in the recent past had caused some disruption in the execution of works in Kedarnath and Badrinath but with the weather clearing the pace of works has picked up. Discussions were also hel on the Jageshwar Dham master plan and the Manaskhand Mandir Mala project.
Dhami said that a large number of pilgrims are visiting the Char Dham shrines despite the rain and snowfall. Necessary facilities have been ensured on the Yatra route to ensure that the pilgrimage is conducted in a smooth manner, he said. The chief minister said that works in Badrinath and Kedarnath are being undertaken at a swift pace under the guidance of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. Work is being undertaken day and night considering the convenience of the pilgrims. The State government has also started the Manaskhand Mandir Mala project in the Kumaon region on the lines of the Char Dham Yatra. A master plan for Jageshwar has also been prepared as part of this project. This project entails connecting the important ancient and historical sites in Kumaon as part of the circuit and publicising them to attract pilgrims and tourists from across India and abroad, said the chief minister.
