In order to facilitate better communication with the public, chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat has changed his bullet-proof SUV for a non-bullet proof Innova vehicle. The CM has decided to travel in the non-bullet proof vehicle to public programmes. According to sources, as the earlier SUV was bullet proof, its windows could not be rolled down which was hampering communication with the public.
Two days after testing negative for Covid-19, the CM resumed his public engagements on Tuesday meeting a number of citizens at the Bijapur house, listening to their problems and directing action to resolve the same. Stating that the public is supreme, Rawat said that resolving the problems of the people is the government’s duty. Attempts are being made to resolve the issues of the public at the local level. The virtual night Chaupal is being organised with this in mind. He said that officials have been strictly instructed to ensure that citizens do not have to make unnecessary visits to get their work done.
