Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami felicitated meritorious board students of Vidya Bharti Vidyalayas at the Parvati Prema Jagati Saraswati Vihar here on Sunday. Congratulating the students who secured positions in the Uttarakhand board merit list, he said that this will instill a new energy and motivate them to perform well in all future examinations.
Dhami said that Vidya Bharti Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan has been doing commendable work by instilling the values of Sanatan culture and patriotism along with education. He said that it was an honour for him to attend this event when 100 years of the formation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh were being celebrated.
“It was felt after independence that the nation’s education system must be connected to the roots and its culture. Inspired by the RSS, the first Saraswati Shishu Mandir was opened at Gorakhpur in 1952 to develop cultured, dedicated citizens with good character. Today Vidya Bharti has merged Indian education system with modern education and brought about a revolution in the academic world,” he said.
The CM also spoke about the steps taken by the Uttarakhand government to ensure quality education while also making it modern and practical. He spoke about the measures taken to further improve both school education and higher education in the State.
