The team which participated in Uttarakhand’s tableau Kedarkhand in the Republic Day parade at Rajpath in the national Capital met chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat here on Monday. The CM felicitated the team members on the occasion and presented all the artistes in the tableau Rs 25,000 each. He congratulated all the team members of the state tableau winning the third position in the parade.
Stating that this was a matter of pride for the state, Rawat said that this was the first time when the State’s tableau secured a position among the top three tableaux in the Republic Day parade at Rajpath. Information secterary Dilip Jawalkar said that the Kedarkhand comprised the team leader and information deputy director KS Chauhan and 12 artistes.
Chauhan informed that since the creation of Uttarakhand state, the state’s tableau had participated 12 times in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi.
