CM flags off high altitude medical team for Badrinath, Rudranath and Hemkund

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off a Six Sigma medical team for providing free of cost medical services for the pilgrims to Badrinath, Rudranath and Hemkund Sahib on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the Six Sigma high altitude medical service team deserves appreciation for providing its services at Badrinath and Kedarnath. The medical team will also be provided with all facilities for the services being provided by the State government at the Dhams so that the pilgrims arriving at the shrines do not face any type of inconvenience.
The medical director of the Six Sigma high altitude medical service Dr Pradeep Bharadwaj said that this time the team will use mostly portable medical equipment during the pilgrimage so that better medical services can be provided to the pilgrims. Dr Parvez Ahmed informed that more than 45 medical staff persons have been deployed by Six Sigma Healthcare or providing medical services during the Char Dham Yatra this time. Those deployed will include critical care, cardiology, medicine, gynaecology, respiratory and mountain medicine experts. The State’s Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj, Agriculture minister Ganesh Joshi, Transport minister Chand Ram Dass and others were also present on the occasion.
