In latest news from Dehradun, a slew of road improvement proposals involving Bhimtal, Kashipur and Rudrapur Assembly constituencies have been included in the chief minister’s announcement with the clearance from the chief minister’s office. Notably, the proposals were submitted by the MLAs of the above-mentioned Assembly constituencies during the CM-convened review meeting invloving the Assembly segments under the Nainital Lok Sabha constituency held in Udham Singh Nagar on May 11. Later, the administration scrutinised the feasibility of these proposals and after the administration cleared these proposals, the CM green-lighted their inclusion in the CM announcement. These include repairing, widening and asphaltisation of the stretch of the motor road from Kathgodam to Khansu under Bhimtal Assembly constituency; 3.9 km stretch of two-lane bypass in Drona Sagar town under Kashipur Assembly constituency and reparing the two kilometre stretch of the damaged Jainpur-Dhanauri road from Kashipur.
