CM hails passage of anti-conversion, women reservation bills

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed happiness at the passage of the bill for 30 per cent reservation to the women of the State in government jobs and the anti-conversion bill by the Uttarakhand Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday.
In a statement the CM said that being a Devbhoomi, things like religious conversions are very fatal for the State. He said that the government would strictly implement the law once it would come into force. On the passage of the women reservation bill, the CM said that women had played an important role in the creation of Uttarakhand. He said that his government had decided that the benefit of horizontal reservation would be provided to the women of the State as a mark of respect to them.
