CM holds night Chaupal, stays in home stay in Lohaghat village

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached the Thatha village in the border region of Lohaghat in Champwat district on Saturday. The CM attended various events in the village and also night Chaupal in the village where he asked the locals present about their problems and issues. He talked to the locals about the schemes of the government and the works being undertaken by the administration while also interacting with the children present on the occasion.
Dhami also talked about resolving the problems of the locals and ensuring that the benefit of the government schemes reaches eligible people in all villages and all families. He said that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, cooking gas and clean drinking water have reached all homes. The village women said that earlier they had to go to fetch water in pitchers at 3 AM but now they have been provided with water supply at home. The CM said that free treatment costing upto Rs five lakh is being provided under the Ayushman Yojana. “Whereas earlier, one had to cover long distances on foot, the villages are now being linked by road. Women are being made economically stronger. The State government is working on the Lakhpati Didi Yojana for economically empowering women further through self help groups. Along with employment, the youths in the State should also move towards self employment,” he said.
Dhami further said that various works are being undertaken to make Champawat an ideal district so that it becomes an example of a model district for the State and the nation. The CM stressed that Uttarakhand is a peaceful
State and that nobody will be allowed to break the law and disturb the environment here. While spending the night at a home stay in the village, Dhami said that the government is also providing subsidy in order to encourage home stays in Uttarakhand.
