CM inaugurates multiple development works in Rudraprayag

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation for various development schemes worth Rs 46,680.95 lakh at Tilwada in Rudraprayag district on Saturday. These included development schemes inaugurated for the district worth Rs 14,294.18 lakh and schemes worth Rs 32,386.77 lakh for which the foundation stones were laid.

Addressing the public on the occasion, Dhami said that the government is determined to make Uttarakhand one of the leading States of India. The Central and State governments are executing various schemes for the welfare of every section of society. Stating that a divine and grand Kedarnath is being constructed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister said that the PM has special attachment to Uttarakhand. The eagerness which PM Modi has shown for development of Uttarakhand has not been shown by any Prime Minister so far. He said that the aim of the State government is to make Uttarakhand a model State by 2025 when it marks the silver anniversary of its foundation, for which the cooperation of all is needed.

Dhami also announced that in view of the Badrinath-Kedarnath pilgrimage, the State will send a proposal to the Centre for declaring the road from Mayali to Guptkashi and from Bhiri to Makku-Chopta national highway. He also announced new construction of three kilometre motor road from Syund to Dhaulsari Kameda, four kilometre motor road to Bhangar Kamsal and three kilometre stretch from Bagula Namak Tok to Bhatwadi village. In the Kedarnath Assembly constituency, the second stage financial approval for motor roads approved for border villages Chilaund, Syansu and Toshi will also be granted soon. The CM also made various other developmental and welfare announcements for different parts of the district on the occasion. Under various departmental schemes executed in the district, the CM awarded 37 selected eligible beneficiaries and four self help groups during the programme.

Rudraparyag district Panchayat chairman Sumant Tiwari, Rudraprayag MLA Bharat Singh Chaudhary, Kedarnath MLA Shaila Rani Rawat, Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee chairman Ajendra Ajay, district magistrate Mayur Dikshit and others were also present on the occasion. Dhami also visited the various stalls put at the event venue.
