CM inaugurates Ranipokhri brigde in Doiwala

Manaskhand corridor project is the flagship project of State Govt- Dhami
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the important Ranipokhri bridge on the Rishikesh- Bhaniawala road in a programme organised at Doiwala on Friday. The work on construction of the new bridge was necessitated after the collapse of the old bridge and its work was completed in six months. He also laid the foundation stone of a 180 metre span bridge on the Sheetla river on Lambarpur- Langha motor road on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the CM said that the Ranipokhri bridge is very important since it connects Dehradun with Rishikesh and Garhwal region. He said that apart from the local people, the bridge would make the journey of the tourist easy. Dhami said that strengthening the connectivity in the State is one of the priorities of the government and the pace at which roads are being constructed in the State is unprecedented. He said that the State government has now taken up the Manaskhand corridor project as a flagship project and work on it would be taken up on the lines of the Char Dham project. He said that his government ensures inauguration of all the works of which the foundation stone is laid by it. He said that a network of roads is being built in the State under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Union Transport and Highways minister Nitin Gadkari. He said that the Char Dham Yatra has become very easy and the dream of rail services in the mountainous areas of the State is getting fulfilled. The work on the Rishikesh- Karnprayag rail line and Delhi- Dehradun elevated road is going on at a fast pace. He said that once completed, the elevated road project would ensure that the distance between Delhi and Dehradun is completed in two hours. Dhami said that the State government is determined to make Uttarakhand one of the developed States of the country by the year 2025 as per the wishes of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The CM said that he has directed the officers of all departments that all the projects should be completed within the stipulated time frame and there should be no compromise on quality. He also announced many development projects in the Doiwala Assembly constituency on the occasion.
The Member of Parliament (MP) from Haridwar, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, cabinet minister Prem Chand Agarwal, MLAs Munna Singh Chauhan, Brij Bhushan Gairola and others were also present on the occasion.
