Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Renovation, Modernisation and Upgradation (RMU) works of the Tiloth hydropower plant during his Uttarkashi visit on Monday. The managing director of the UJVN limited Sandeep Singhal said that the corporation has undertaken RMU works of the power plants that have completed their age and whose power production capacity is getting decreased. He said that under this plan the RMU of Tiloth power plant was inaugurated by the CM on Monday. Singhal said that RMU works were done with a budget of Rs 189 crore and after the work the power production capacity of the plant has increased. The MD further informed that the plant had a capacity of 90 MW which has increased to 94.5 MW after the RMU work. He claimed that after RMU works the annual capacity of the plant will increase from 397 million units (MU) to 483 MU which means that the production from the Tiloth plant will increase by 22 per cent this year. He said that the annual revenue from the plant is also expected to increase to Rs 97 crore from Rs 57 crore.
