CM inspects developmental works in Doiwala area
Chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat toured his Doiwala constituency and checked the progress of various developmental works in the area on Friday. Inspecting the Lacchiwala nature park redevelopment work, he said that with its natural environment and water source, this site will attract people across age groups with its natural beauty. A sum of Rs five crore has been provisioned for this task. All the aspects of this project should be executed in a manner which ensures that soon the nature park is opened to tourists of the nation in a grand form. The nature trail, canopy walk, multimedia fountain park will lend unique aspects to this nature park. Children’s gym, toy train, museum park, herbal and aromatic garden among other features will make this site a centre of attraction for the public. The CM was informed in detail about the project by the Shivalik conservator of forests and Dehradun zoo director, PK Patro.
The CM also inspected the Tehsil building to be constructed in Doiwala and the girls hostel being constructed in the Doiwala degree college campus. While stressing on ensuring quality of the works, he said that these should be constructed in the traditional style of the mountains. He further said that the Tehsil building to be constructed at a cost of Rs four crore should be built as a green building. The special secretary to the CM, Parag Madhukar Dhakate, Dehradun district magistrate Ashish Kumar Srivastava and other departmental officials concerned were also present on the occasion.
Rawat interacts with local public representatives
During his visit to Doiwala area, the CM Trivendra Singh Rawat also interacted with the local Gram Pradhans, Block Panchayat members, councillors and party workers. Listening to their issues, he directed the officials concerned to do the needful for resolving the issues.
He said that construction of the Suryadhar lake will be completed soon which will meet the drinking water and irrigation requirements of the area. It will also ensure year-round availability of water and save electricity. Road works in Doiwala area will be completed soon, he added. Rawat also informed that all district magistrates had been directed to spend 40 per cent of the district plan budget on animal husbandry, agriculture, pisciculture, bee culture and other self employment schemes. Consistent coordination is being maintained with banks so that entrepreneurs do not face problems in securing loans. This is being done so that maximum number of entrepreneurs can strengthen their livelihood.
