CM interacts with beneficiaries of government schemes

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual interaction with beneficiaries in Udham Singh Nagar as part of the Viksit Bharat Yatra on Sunday. National Rural Livelihood Mission beneficiary Kamala informed the CM that 10 women are involved in her group.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the government provided such groups a sum of Rs 6,000 twice. Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana-Gramin beneficiary Vikki Singh informed that earlier he used to live in a shack. He benefitted from the scheme and also got money to purchase utensils for his home.He has also benefitted from various other schemes of the Central and State governments, Singh said. Beneficiaries of various other schemes also shared their experience with the CM.

Addressing them, Dhami said that he regularly seeks feedback from the public on various government schemes. The Viksit Bharat Yatra was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 15. This programme is being undertaken across the nation as part of efforts to achieve the vision of making India a developed nation. This Yatra has covered lakhs of villages in this period. The benefit of the Central and State government schemes is reaching the masses through this initiative, the CM said.

Dhami further said that today the citizens do not need to run after the government as the government is itself coming forward to do the needful. He exhorted those who are benefitting from the Central and State government schemes to inform other citizens about these schemes so that all the citizens can derive the intended benefit of the schemes being provided by the government.
