The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the poster and calendar of the 17th Agriculture Science Congress (ASC) in the presence of the Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology’s (GBPUAT) vice-chancellor Manmohan Singh Chauhan and the director general of Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) Durgesh Pant at the CM’s residence on Friday. The ASC is being organised by GBPUAT under the aegis of National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS).
The VC informed the CM on the occasion that over 4000 delegates are coming to attend the event. As there would be representations from 50+ countries, it would boost the agricultural and tourism sector, he told Dhami. Besides, there will be a display of innovative technologies through 200+ stalls and over 100 ICAR institutions will participate. Further, the VCs of over 20 universities will participate in the event.
