CM launches Rozgar Prayag portal and app for unemployed

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Rozgar Prayag portal in the Uttarakhand Yuva Mahotsav -2023 at Parade Ground on Monday.  He also launched the ‘Yuva Uttarakhand’ application and self employment centres at the employment exchanges of the State in the programme. Addressing the youngsters, the CM said that the Prayag portal will help the unemployed by providing information about the posts in different departments to be filled by outsourcing. He said that Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed with the IIT Roorkee and Microsoft International for technical support to the state government in skill development. He said that the youngsters of the State are capable, skilled and hardworking and they have excelled in the country and different parts of the world. The CM said that a new India is being created under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the youth are its foundation. He assured the youths that he will not let them suffer injustice. The CM said that the government has enacted a strict anti-copying law to safeguard the future of the youngsters. The CM said that the State government is making efforts to provide employment and create self employment opportunities for the youngsters of the State. In the last 15 days appointment letters have been handed over to one thousand youngsters. The CM averred that the State government is also encouraging sports culture in the State and for it a new sports policy has been enacted. He said that the State government has reintroduced sports quota in the jobs.

 The Skill Development minister Saurabh Bahuguna said that skill development of the youngsters is essential for the development of the state and keeping this in mind the Yuva Mahotsav is being organised. He said that the youngsters of Uttarakhand are educated and the State government is consistently working to provide the right direction to them. Baghuguna added that the youth power is the basis of the economic progress of the State.

Dehradun mayor Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’, MLAs Khajan Das, Brij Bhushan Gairola, secretary Vijay Kumar Yadav, Deependra Chaudhary, ITDA director Nitika Khandelwal and others were present on the occasion.
