In latest news from Doon, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the RTI portal and said that it would facilitate online registration of complaint. The people would register such complaints from the comforts of their homes and it would spare them the trouble of making rounds around the government offices, he said and added that the launch of this portal would serve the people living in the remote mountain villages the most.
The portal would enable people to appeal, seeking information from the department on any matter online and besides this, the people could even participate in hearing online. Speaking on the occasion, the chief information commissioner Anil Chandra Punethi said that aside from registering complaint and appeal online, the new portal would enable the people to participate in the hybrid mode of hearing from home.
