CM launches Uttarakhand police app, e-FIR service

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the Uttarakhand police app and e-FIR service here on Friday. The police app is an integrated version of five online services provided by the State police.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhami said that the people will get better facilities through the app. He said that this is a good effort made on the government’s policy of simplification, solution and resolution. This is also a commendable initiative to execute Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s idea of smart policing, he said.
The director general of police Ashok Kumar all the online services provided by the State police to the public have been integrated in the Uttarakhand police app. These include Gaura Shakti, traffic eye, public eye, Meri Yatra and Lakshya Nasha Mukt Uttarakhand. The emergency number 112 and cyber helpline number 1930 have also been connected to this app. He further informed that using this app, citizens will be able to use the citizens web portal or their mobile phone lodge online report about vehicle theft or lost documents while sitting at home. The report will have to be filled according to the description provided and the information provided by the public will be received by the cyber police station for registration as e-FIR. Additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, special principal secretary Abhinav Kumar and senior police officers were also present on the occasion.
