CM launches winter Yatra to Baba Kedarnath’s abode in Ukhimath

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami offered prayers at the Omkareshwar temple in Ukhimath, the winter abode of Lord Kedarnath on Sunday. Inaugurating the winter pilgrimage to Ukhimath, he also inspected the various arrangements made by the authorities for the pilgrimage.  Dhami directed the officials to make all necessary arrangements for the convenience of those undertaking the winter pilgrimage.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the start of the winter pilgrimage will further strengthen pilgrimage and tourism in the State. This will increase tourist footfalls throughout the year while also make various tourist destinations popular. The CM said that as new opportunities for income generation will be created for the local residents, the economic condition of the locals will also improve further. MLAs Asha Nautiyal, Bharat Chowdhary and Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee chairman Ajendra Ajay were also present on the occasion.
