CM lays foundation stone of Madhav Sewa Ashram in Rishikesh

The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation stone of Madhav Sewa Vishram Sadan in Rishikesh on Tuesday. He also participated in a Bhoomi Pujan programme organised by the Bhaurao Devras Sewa Nyas on the occasion. Addressing the gathering CM said that part from being a centre of Yoga, Rishikesh is also centre of health services due to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and people from all parts of the state and outside come here for treatment. He said that boarding and lodging facilities for the patients and their relatives would now be easily available at Madhav Sewa Vishram Sadan. He said that Bhaurao Devras had dedicated his entire life in the service of the nation and at the age of 20 years he came from Nagpur to Lucknow in UP with an objective of extension of Sangh. The CM said that he started the project of setting up Sishu mandirs in the country in the year 1952. Remembering his student life, the CM said that a gate made in the Lucknow University in memory of Devras used to be a source of the inspiration for youngsters like him. Assuring every possible help for the Sewa Ashram, Dhami announced that a sum of Rs 50 lakh would be given by the Uttarakhand government for the Ashram.
He said that Rishikesh town is the first stage in the Char Dham Yatra, he said that work on the Rishikesh- Karnprayag rail line is going on a fast pace. He said that the roads connecting the Char Dhams have been made double lane for safe and easy journey for the pilgrims. Swami Ramdev, Swami Yetindrand Giri, Vijay Kaushal, Suresh Bhayia Joshi, former CM and Haridwar MP Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, cabinet minister Prem Chand Agarwal and others were present on the occasion.
