CM lays foundation stone of Satpuli Lake project in Pauri

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami laid the foundation stone of the multipurpose Satpuli lake project on eastern Nayar River in Pauri district on Thursday. The lake will be constructed at a cost of Rs 56 crore. He laid foundation stones of a total of 24 projects worth Rs 172.65 crore in the ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that these schemes will prove to be a milestone in the development of the region. He said that once constructed the Satpuli lake will also prove to be a boon for the economy of the region. The CM said that the road and air connectivity and other infrastructure are being developed rapidly in the state. Construction work is being done on a large scale in the tourism sector in the state.
Dhami said that the government is continuously working towards solving the menace of migration from the mountainous areas of the State.
He said that the State government is committed to preserve the cultural values of the state. The CM said that illegal encroachment has been removed from more than 5,000 acres of land in the state. He said that Uttarakhand is set to create history by becoming the first State in the country to implement the uniform civil code (UCC) in January 2025.
Cabinet minister Satpal Maharaj, chairman of Gau Seva Aayog Rajendra Anthwal, Lansdowne MLA Dilip Mahant and others attended the programme.
