Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reached Chamoli on Thursday and met the bereaved families and families of those injured by electrocution in the Namami Gange STP plant at Peepalkoti a day ago. Empathising with the affected families, Dhami assured them all possible assistance from the government. At the police ground in Gopeshwar, the CM also laid wreaths at the coffins of the three homeguard personnel who died in the incident
. “This is a very tragic incident and we will pray to god that those who died in the incident receive salvation and their bereaved family members find the strength to bear the loss. The State government has made all arrangements regarding compensation, treatment of the injured and other aspects,” said the CM. He further said that the cause of the accident will be investigated deeply and that the guilty will face strict action as per the law.
Dhami met the family members of those who died in the incident and expressed his condolences. He told them that the State government is with them in this hour of grief and that the government will provide all possible assistance to them.
