CM orders officials to focus on traffic management during Deepawali

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has directed officers that focus should be laid on traffic management during the festival of Deepawali. The CM gave the order while chairing a meeting of the senior officers of the State administration at the State secretariat on Friday. He said that it should be ensured that people do not face any kind of problem while commuting during the festive season.
He directed the Fire Service to make adequate arrangements of fire tenders on Deepawali. The Health department should keep all emergency arrangements as well as the burn unit in working condition. The CM also gave instructions to do regular sampling of food items to prevent adulteration. He said that strict action should be taken against those involved in food adulteration, spitting incidents and lack in quality of the food items.
Regarding the preparations for the State Foundation Day, the CM directed all the district magistrates to run a special campaign for cleanliness in all the urban and rural areas. He added that along with cleanliness, work should be done towards beautification in rural and urban areas. He said that cleanliness should be made a public programme.
The CM said that in view of Deepawali and State Foundation Day, proper security arrangements should be made on the interstate and international borders of the state.
Cabinet minister Prem Chand Aggarwal, vice chairman of State infrastructure monitoring council Vishwas Dawar, chief secretary Radha Raturi, additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Nitesh Jha, Chandresh Yadav, ADG AP Anshuman and Garhwal commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey attended the meeting. All the DMs and SSP attended the meeting virtually.
