CM orders suspension of Medical Service Selection Board selection process

The selection done and the ongoing selection process of the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board for Ayurvedic and homoeopathic medical service has been suspended with immediate effect on the orders of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The chief minister took this decision after a delegation of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) met him and raised issues related to the selection on Thursday. He also ordered the the entire selection process should be investigated in detail.
It is worth mentioning here that the CM has maintained a stern approach towards irregularities in the recruitment process in the State. A strict anti-copying law has also been implemented in the State to prevent malpractices in recruitment examinations. Immediate action was taken on complaints received in the recent past by the CM regarding irregularities in recruitments. A number of persons accused of malpractices have also been sent to jail so far.
On Thursday, a delegation of ABVP office bearers met the chief minister and expressed apprehensions regarding irregularities in the Ayurvedic and homoeopathic service selection process of the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board. The delegation requested Dhami for a detailed probe into the selection process undertaken by the board.
Taking cognisance, the CM ordered suspension of the selection done and the selection process being undertaken by the board with immediate effect. He also ordered that the selection process should be investigated in detail. The ABVP office bearers thanked Dhami for the prompt action.
