The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced a string of development schemes while participating in the Jaunpur Sports and Cultural Development Festival at Garkhet, Nainbag on Tuesday. These schemes included the construction of six km-long motor road from Dwargarh to Bhadraj Temple and construction of permanent helipad at Garkhet. Besides, he declared the fair as a State fair.
Calling the State’s culture as the people’s basic identity, he said that the traditional sports were being encouraged and all-out efforts were being made to stop migration through development works. He also said that self-employment was being promoted in the fields of milk, beekeeping, agriculture, horticulture and homestay and women empowerment was being boosted through assisting self-help groups.
