CM pays homage to martyrs of Operation Trinetra

Para commando Ruchin Singh Rawat of Chamoli district martyred in Jammu
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid homage to the martyred soldiers, Lance Naik Ruchin Singh Rawat of Chamoli and Pramod Negi of Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh at Dehradun airport on Saturday. The mortal remains of the two martyrs were brought to the airport from where they were taken to their native places. The CM placed floral wreaths on the mortal remains of the martyrs in a sombre ceremony at the airport. He said that an indebted nation would always remember the brave soldiers who have laid down their lives in service of the nation. He said that the State government is standing firmly with the families of the soldiers. Dhami said that every possible help would be provided to the family members of Ruchin Singh Rawat. Praying for peace to the departed soul, the CM appealed to the family members to keep fortitude in this time of grief.
The soldier welfare minister Ganesh Joshi, Doiwala MLA Brijbhushan Gairola, Senior Superintendent of police (SSP) Dehradun Daleep Singh Kunwar and others were present on the occasion.
Ruchin Singh Rawat attained martyrdom in the ongoing operation Trinetra between security forces and terrorists in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. Rawat hailed from the Kunigad village of Gairsain in Chamoli district. He was part of the contingent of the 9th Para unit which engaged the heavily armed terrorists in operation Trinetra. Rawat is survived by his wife and a four year old son.
