In latest news from Dehradun, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has greeted the people of the country on the occasion of Deepawali, the festival of light, and prayed for prosperity, happiness and health of every citizen of the country. Dwelling on the significance of Deppawali, he said that Deepawali is not just an ordinary festival but it exemplifies the glory of the nation, its glorious past. As it celebrates the return of Lord Rama to Ajodhya after 14 years of exile it epitomises the triumph of the Good over Evil and of Light over Darkness, he said. Invoking the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his call ‘Vocal for Local’, the CM said that the Deepawali festival can play an instrumental role in promoting the local products of the State and this will be a step towards making India a self-reliant, vibrant nation.
