In latest news from Doon, to mark the National Girl Child Day, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the child development minister Rekha Arya presented smart phones to 318 meritorious girls who scored high marks in exams in 2022 and 2023. Besides, the CM interacted with the girls and told them about the initiatives the government has taken for the academic and economic welfare of the girls of the State. Dhami vowed to end gender-based discrimination in Uttarakhand and said that all developments are in vain if the women are not accorded the respect they deserve.
