In latest news from Uttarakhand, with six days having passed since a part of an under-construction tunnel collapsed at Silkyara in Uttarkashi district, trapping 41 workers inside, a worried chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took a review meeting with the senior officers concerned and asked them to ensure that the obstacles hindering the evacuation process are removed at the earliest. He further informed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been continuously taking updates on the ongoing rescue operation and added that the State government has been extending all possible assistances to the agencies engaged in the rescue work. Among those present at the meeting included the additional chief secretary Radha Raturi, secretary to the CM Sailesh Bagauli and the director general of information Banshidhar Tiwari.
