CM runs for unity, remembers Patel
PNS/ DEHRADUN
The chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took part in the Run for Unity that started from Pavilion Ground here on Tuesday. This run was organised to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Notably, October 31 is observed as Patel’s birthday but this year the run was advanced due to the Deepavali falling on the same day.
Lauding Patel as the builder of modern India, the CM attributed his achievement in integrating over 560 Princely States with India to his invincible determination, farsightedness and commitment to a strong India. He said that unity and integrity is not just an idea but something which every Indian must consider as duty.
