Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the habitations with a population of 150 to 249 should also be included in the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. He made this request to the Union minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Giriraj Singh in New Delhi on Monday. He said that this relaxation is very essential for a State such as Uttarakhand which has tough geographical conditions. The union minister assured that the demand of Uttarakhand would be examined.
The CM expressed gratitude to Singh for accepting the request of increasing the time period for completion of PM Rural Roads scheme I and II till March 31 2024.
