The Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara has congratulated the team of 57th battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for apprehending Satish Nainwal and his driver Dinesh Chandra with 40 live cartridges during checking in Banbasa while they were trying to enter Nepal. Satish Nainwal is the brother of BJP MLA from Ranikhet, Pramod Nainwal. He demanded that the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami should take cognisance of the Banbasa case and strict action should be taken against the brother of the Ranikhet MLA.
Mahara said that the BJP MLA was also found involved in the multi-crore horticulture scam. The PCC president said that it appears as if the BJP government has given license to its ministers, MLAs, their relatives and workers to openly commit murder, robbery, rape and now smuggling. He alleged that the law and order situation in the State has collapsed and the BJP workers, intoxicated by power, are openly breaking the law.
