CM stresses on building Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor by October 2026

In latest Dehradun news, the State chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami instructed the officials concerned to start the work on building Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor at the earliest while chairing a meeting at the State Secretariat convened to discuss the development of new townships in several cities across the State. The CM stressed that the work on building the Haridwar-Rishikesh Ganga Corridor should be finished by the end of October 2026. He said that a proposal would soon be brought in the Cabinet for the formation of the company that would be entrusted with this work.
He directed the officials concerned to ensure that five and three new townships are developed in the plain areas and in the hill areas of the State respectively. He further said that work of developing one hill station each in Garhwal and Kumaon regions should be finalised as soon as possible.
Among those who attended the meeting were the State urban development minister Prem Chand Agarwal, the chief secretary S S Sandhu and the additional chief secretary Radha Raturi.
