In latest news from Doon, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami directed the senior officials to take all the required steps to facilitate an early start of the winter Char Dham Yatra. To facilitate robust tourist footfalls in course of the winter Yatra, the Garhwal Mandal Vikash Nigam (GMVN) has slashed room rent for all hotels run by it by 10 per cent. He gave this directive while chairing a high-level meeting at his residence on Friday.
He further said he would embark on district tour soon. He will visit all the 13 districts and stay night there. He will review the ongoing development works in each district with the officials while staying there. Public hearing will be organised too to enable the CM to interact with the common people and take first-hand view of things happening in the districts.
