CM warns of punitive action on laxity in road repair works

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami reviewed the progress of the pothole-free roads campaign at his residence on Tuesday. He directed the officers to ensure that the road repair works should be completed on a priority basis. On a stern note, the CM warned that strict action would be taken against the officers found engaged in laxity in the road repair works and delay in completion of the patchworks. He said that the officers should ensure that people get  access to safe transportation in the State.

The CM also directed the officers to promote local products during the ongoing festive season. He said that proper arrangements should be made for the sale of local products. Dhami appealed to the people to purchase local products during the festival.  This will not only help the local entrepreneurs, farmers and artisans but will also give impetus to campaigns such as ‘local for vocal’ and Atmanirbhar Bharat, he said.  

The CM also directed the officers of the Health department to undertake an intensive campaign to prevent adulteration in food items. He said that the department should take samples of food products regularly. He said that the traffic should be managed properly and it should be ensured that the people do not face any inconvenience while travelling during the festive season.

Principal secretary RK Sudhanshu, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Vinay Shankar Pandey, additional director general of police AP Anshuman and Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority vice chairman Banshidhar Tiwari and others were also present in the meeting.
