The Dehradun Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Manoj Kumar Sharma directed officials of the sub-district hospital in Mussoorie to operate the dengue ward according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for dengue issued by the State government. He said this during an inspection of the hospital on Saturday.
During the inspection, Dr Sharma reviewed various services, including outpatient services (OPD), pathology tests, emergency care, radiology and hospital wards. He engaged with admitted patients to inquire about their well-being and spoke with their attendants regarding the quality of services provided and other issues they faced.
Dr Sharma also assessed the preparedness of the dengue ward, which has been set up with four beds and equipped with mosquito nets. The staff presence in the hospital was found to be satisfactory and the cleanliness standards were deemed to be good.
Further, Dr Sharma asked the chief medical superintendent of the hospital to pay special attention to medical services for pilgrims in light of the upcoming Char Dham Yatra in 2025. He emphasised the importance of maintaining emergency medical services and ensuring that the stock of medicines remains fully supplied.
