Coaching centres await students in Dehradun
Though the State Government has allowed the coaching centres to operate from November 10, the operators of these institutes are still waiting for the students to join back the classes.
Khajan Rana from Uttarakhand Coaching and Library Association (UCLA) stated that there are hardly ten students in a coaching centre since the administration permitted the classes. According to him, there are many competitive exams coming up and the owners of coaching centres were optimistic that at least 40 percent to 50 percent students will join classes but most of the students are still reluctant.
Most of them are still in other districts and mountainous regions while the recent increase in Covid-19 cases has also worsened the condition, said Rana. He also informed that none of the students of board classes joined any institutes too. “Most of the students will probably join classes next year only.
However, most of the coaching institutes are opening institutes irrespective of the number of students present and though there are very few students who actually take e-classes, we have continued them too,” added Rana.
