Cold condition to continue for 3 days

In latest news from Dehradun, with the mercury dipping fast across Uttarakhand, the regional meteorological centre has issued Cold Day alert for three days. As per the forecast, cold wave condition accompanied by fog and frost will continue to sweep both the mountain and the plain areas of the State while the climate would remain dry. Meanwhile, taking serious note of the persistent cold wave warning by the Met department, the Udham Singh Nagar administration has declared holiday in schools from class I to XII for three days till January 13. Further, Haridwar district administration has declared the same for one day. The director of the regional Met centre Vikram Singh said that the temperature might further dip in the daytime and consequently the plain areas of several districts like Haridwar, Nainital, Pauri and Udham Singh Nagar are likely to face cold day conditions.
