Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that concerted and collective efforts should be done for disability (Divyangata) free Uttarakhand. He said that the State government has taken up a target for making Uttarakhand TB-free by the year 2024 and drugs-free by 2025. Giving the slogan of ‘Jai Divyang’ the CM said that all should take forward the slogan and initiate work towards Divyangata-free Uttarakhand.
Dhami expressed these views while participating in a program organized to distribute artificial limbs to the differently-abled at the CM camp office on Monday. The program was organized under the joint aegis of the Mahavir Sewa Sadan and Parmarth Niketan.

He said that the Central and State governments have started many schemes for the welfare of Divyangs and many social organizations are working in this field. Dhami said that Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, and Jai Anusandhan are the slogans of modern India and in Uttarakhand, we should also raise the slogan Jai Divyang to initiate the process of Divyangata free Uttarakhand.
