Thanking the State Election Commission and personnel on election duty for the successful conclusion of urban local body elections, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that collective efforts will be undertaken to further improve the State and better public facilities.

Congratulating the victorious candidates, the CM said that the clean and green city concept will be executed on the ground. The State government will work to provide electricity, roads, water, footpaths, parks, open gyms, waste disposal and other facilities to the public. He said that work will be expedited on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s promise in its election manifesto to provide better services to the citizens. “All our elected mayors, municipal council chairpersons, Nagar Panchayat chairpersons and councillors will work together to make our localities and cities beautiful. We will take forward the campaign to enhance security using CCTV cameras and lighting with solar power. The public representatives in civic bodies have a dual responsibility as they have to provide better facilities to the public while also making the cities cleaner and beautiful for the tourists along with facilities for them so that tourists return from Uttarakhand with a positive message,” Dhami said.
